I recently received a job offer for a position that was advertised as a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. This was clearly stated in the job posting and confirmed during all four interviews. However, at the offer stage, I was informed that the expectation had changed to 4 days in the office and only 1 day working from home, along with the possibility of working some weekends. I expressed my disappointment about this change, especially since the hybrid arrangement was a significant factor in my decision to pursue this job. The employer responded by saying they had increased the salary by $2,000 a year, which doesn't really address my concerns. The flexibility of working from home was a key reason I was interested in this position, despite the lower pay compared to other opportunities. Now I'm at a crossroads, trying to decide whether to accept the offer knowing that the role has changed from what was originally advertised. I’m genuinely interested in the position and the team, but I’m also wary of what this change might indicate about the company’s integrity. I'm seeking advice on how to proceed. Should I accept the offer, push back for the original arrangement, or reconsider the opportunity altogether?
