I’m currently in the middle of a job search and I’m really frustrated with how many positions require flexibility. It feels like employers are asking for my convenience while disregarding my need for a stable schedule. I want a job that respects my work-life balance, but it seems like so many companies are just looking to fill gaps in their scheduling without considering the impact on their employees. My last job had a schedule that changed every week, and it was exhausting. I could end up working ten days straight with no regard for my personal life. It’s disheartening to see that this is a common expectation in many industries, especially in healthcare where staffing is often a mess. I’m hoping to find a role that values stability over convenience.
