I'm currently working at a large corporation in a role that has become increasingly stressful due to ongoing restructuring. The company has announced that involuntary layoffs will begin this month, and it's been weighing heavily on my mind. I find myself in a tough spot, as part of me is hoping for a layoff just to escape the pressure and chaos of my current workload. Even though I work from home, the expectations are overwhelming, and I'm seriously considering whether to wait it out or proactively look for new opportunities. I've seen others suggest that I should stick around for severance and unemployment benefits, but I can't shake the feeling that I might be better off moving on sooner rather than later. The atmosphere is tense, and it feels like everyone is on edge, which makes it hard to focus on my work.
