Navigating Job Uncertainty: Struggling with Automation and Isolation at Work

I recently found myself in a tough situation at my entry-level job where my role has been essentially automated. I was informed that I need to review AI prompt outputs, scripting, and errors, while still maintaining the same quality of work that I used to do manually. It became clear that the company is shifting entirely towards automation without much input from me. I received an email from a coworker that was originally sent to them by leadership, discussing an AI prompt database. I wasn't involved in the initial discussions and was taken aback when leadership assigned me a task that felt like a demonstration of my obsolescence. I was asked to perform my usual tasks using AI-generated prompts, but I noticed discrepancies in the data and raised my concerns. When I pointed out the inconsistencies, I was told to summarize my observations, which I did. Later, another part of leadership reached out to discuss my findings, but when I asked if I could walk them through my process, they declined and questioned my confusion. Each day, I feel more isolated and overwhelmed. I was told that humans are bottlenecks in AI data processes and that if I don't teach myself outside of work, I risk losing my job. Despite my willingness to adapt and provide value, I was told to 'figure it out for myself.' I feel lost now that my coworkers have distanced themselves from me. Just months ago, I was recognized as a key player in the company, even receiving a promotion for my accuracy and attention to detail. Now, I'm being asked to perform manual quality assurance on multiple platforms while also training the AI models, effectively doing two full-time jobs. The pressure is immense, and I feel sick daily from the stress. I had high hopes for this job, and it's disheartening to see how quickly things have changed.
