spritesbetter's journey

I had an interview for a position last Friday, and the interviewer mentioned I would hear back soon. However, I noticed that the job posting on Indeed has been closed. I'm wondering if it's appropriate to call for an update on my application or if I should just move on and focus on applying for other jobs. My application status hasn't changed, and it doesn't indicate that I've been rejected. I received some advice suggesting that a closed posting doesn't necessarily mean the position has been filled, so I might still have a chance. I’m considering sending a brief email to thank the interviewer and inquire about the timeline for updates.
