Today, I realized I fell victim to a job scam while searching for new opportunities. I applied for a remote position that seemed too good to be true, and after a series of interviews, I was asked to pay for a background check. Thankfully, I did some research before sending any money and discovered that the company didn't exist. It was a frustrating experience, but I know it could have been much worse if I had lost money or personal information. I'm now more cautious and will thoroughly vet any future job offers.
