Today, I learned that Cigna has initiated layoffs, which is quite concerning. As a part of the Evernorth/Express Scripts division, I found out that they are outsourcing numerous positions to India. It seems like this is just the beginning, as there are expectations of multiple rounds of layoffs extending throughout next year. I'm feeling anxious about my job security and what this means for my future here.
