I recently found out that I have a hair follicle test and a urine test coming up for a potential DOT job. I took an edible with friends on October 10 during a weekend getaway, which is unusual for me as I typically don’t use THC. I was going through a tough time with a divorce, mental health issues, and other health concerns, so I wanted to relax a bit. Although I enjoyed the experience, I’m now worried about the implications for my job search. The company informed me that they conduct hair follicle testing, which can detect THC use from up to 90 days ago. I know I can probably pass the urine test by drinking plenty of water, but I’m extremely anxious about the hair test. I can't share the exact date of the test since it might reveal the company's name, but I’m really concerned about the outcome. I understand that this job isn't the end of the world for me, but it is a great opportunity with good pay. I’ve received some comments suggesting that I might be okay since I don’t use THC regularly, but I’m still feeling uneasy about it. I know I should avoid using THC until my employment situation stabilizes, but I’m just hoping for the best outcome.
