I recently went through the interview process for a new role at a company I was really excited about. After several rounds of interviews, I finally received an offer and was thrilled. However, during the final discussions, they casually mentioned that the position would require regular travel. This was a complete surprise to me, as it was never mentioned in the job description or during any of the interviews. If I had known that travel was such a significant part of the role, I wouldn't have applied, especially since I have a life and part-time jobs that I need to balance. Thankfully, I hadn't left my current position yet, so I didn't sign any contracts and can reconsider my options. It feels like a huge oversight on their part to omit such a critical detail.
