I am currently an intern at a nonprofit organization, where I am technically a volunteer but receive a stipend for my work. Recently, I accepted a full-time position, which means I will have to end my internship earlier than the planned six months. Since my internship is unpaid, this transition hasn't been a significant issue, even though I would prefer to continue both roles. I noticed that the company posted a full-time role opening on another team in our Slack channel, and I decided to apply because I genuinely enjoy working here and would love to stay on. Now, I'm contemplating whether I should reach out to the hiring manager to express my interest in the position, as it could demonstrate my desire to remain with the company, or if I should contact the person who shared the job posting in Slack. I'm eager to make the right move!
