I recently faced a challenging situation while job searching. Currently, I'm homeless and lack regular access to a phone or the internet, but I've been actively applying for jobs. I was thrilled to be shortlisted for a position and completed the necessary security clearance and other steps. However, since I don't have a working phone, I provided my best friend's number as an alternate contact. Today, the company called him, and he suggested they reach out via email instead. I'm left wondering if this could jeopardize my application or if it's just a request for me to initiate contact through email.
