I applied for a public sector job through governmentjobs.com and went through two rounds of interviews. They mentioned that I would hear back within a couple of weeks after the in-person interview. Now, it's the end of the third week, and I haven't heard anything yet. I understand that the recent holiday may have caused some delays, but I'm considering reaching out to HR for an update. I know the public sector operates differently than the private sector, so I'm unsure if it's appropriate to follow up at this stage.
