I recently completed a final round interview for a mid-level role at a company I’m really excited about. The interview went well; I felt a good connection with the team, and the recruiter mentioned I was one of the last candidates in the running. However, it’s been 12 days since the interview, and I haven’t heard anything back. Here’s what I’ve done so far: - Two days after the interview, I sent a thank-you note to both the recruiter and the hiring manager. - On day seven, the recruiter replied, saying they were still aligning internally and that I should expect an update soon. - By day ten, I sent a polite check-in, but I didn’t get a response. - Now, on day twelve, I’m feeling anxious and unsure about my next steps. I’m still looking at other opportunities, but this role is my top choice. I’m torn between following up again or waiting it out. I’ve already reached out twice, and I don’t want to come off as too eager or too distant. I’m seeking advice on whether I should send one more follow-up, how to approach it, or if I should just wait for a set period before assuming it’s a no-go. I’m really hoping to avoid this limbo feeling.
