I recently started job hunting after being out of the workforce for 20 years. I took time off to raise my children and focus on family responsibilities, but now I'm feeling overwhelmed about how to address this significant gap in my resume. I'm not sure how to present my skills and experiences in a way that potential employers will find valuable. I'm considering taking some online courses to refresh my skills and maybe even volunteering to gain some recent experience. Any advice on how to effectively explain this gap during interviews or on my resume would be greatly appreciated.
