  1. 1

I've been on the job hunt for developer positions in the US for the past three months, and it's been quite a struggle. Here are some of the main issues I've encountered: 1. **LinkedIn Search**: I've found that the search results on LinkedIn aren't very helpful when I look for roles that match my skills. Even after trying various filters and using AI search tools, I still end up with a lot of irrelevant job postings. It takes an absurd amount of time to sift through each listing, read the descriptions, and determine if they align with my years of experience. 2. **Application Process**: The application process is frustrating, especially when it comes to providing information about my race and ethnicity. Filling out each application takes forever, and while I tried using the Simplify Jobs extension to speed things up, it still doesn't complete the application from start to finish. 3. **Resume Tailoring**: I'm on the lookout for a tool that can tailor my resume according to the job description. If anyone knows of a free option or the pricing for any good tools, I would really appreciate the information. 4. **Job Search Platforms**: I've tried various job searching platforms, but many of them don't meet my expectations. For instance, when I search using specific keywords on platforms like Claude or Hiring Cafe, the results often aren't accurate or relevant. I'm really curious to hear about your experiences and any pain points you've faced during your job search. If you've found better alternatives to tackle these issues, I would love to share insights and strategies to overcome these hurdles together.
