I currently work at a union warehouse and recently interviewed for a new position that offers $10,000 more than my current salary. I'm considering giving just one week’s notice instead of the standard two weeks. My father also works at the same warehouse but in a different role. I’m concerned about how my decision might impact him, even though I know they have spares to fill my position. I’ve received advice from others suggesting that since it’s a union job, it shouldn’t affect my dad negatively. I’m leaning towards the one week notice, but I want to be sure.
