Applied at GP practice for admin and telephony role

Today, I had the worst interview experience of my life for an admin and telephony role at a GP practice in a nearby town. I arrived on time, but they were 20 minutes late to see me. I understand that delays happen, especially in a doctor's office, but there was no apology when they finally took me to a meeting room. The interviewer asked about my journey, and I mentioned that it was good and that the bus stop was conveniently right outside the practice. She seemed disappointed that I traveled by bus, which was a strange reaction. Once we got to the meeting room, the practice owner was there, and they spent the first five minutes discussing my bus travel, expressing their reluctance to hire someone who relies on public transport. I assured them that I could travel reliably, but they kept bringing it up. When they finally asked me to tell them about myself, I started sharing my work history, but the practice manager interrupted me, insisting I tell them who I am. I mentioned that I've been working on a sci-fi novel, and he bluntly told me, "you'll never get it published." I was taken aback by that comment, especially since I hadn't even mentioned trying to get published. The first real question was about handling angry patients, which is relevant for the role. I started explaining my approach, but he interrupted me again, asking if aggressive patients affected me mentally. I reassured them that I understood their anger was usually directed at their situation, not me. After that, they said they had no more questions and asked if I was available for an unpaid trial shift on Tuesday. I was shocked at how quickly the interview concluded and, in a moment of confusion, I agreed to it. Now, I'm about to send an email to let them know I won't be attending the trial shift. Throughout the interview, the practice owner was yawning constantly, which added to the overall awkwardness. I can't believe I even considered working there.
