I recently found out that I have an old Facebook account from my middle school years that I deactivated and completely forgot about. I can't seem to find it through Google or Facebook searches, and most of my friends from that time can't locate it either, although one did find it deactivated in their friends list. The email linked to that account is long gone, so I have no way to access it. I'm really concerned about what might be on that account since it was years ago, and I can only imagine it contains some embarrassing posts. I'm in the job market right now and have been struggling to get interviews, which has me worried that this old account might be causing issues during employment screenings. I’m hoping I’m just being paranoid, but I’d appreciate any insights from those who know how these background checks work. Is it possible for a long-deactivated account to show up in a social media screening?
