I recently found out that I have a balance of $2000 in my unemployment claim, but I was never paid anything. Currently, my claim status is open, and it shows an effective date of 11/02/2025, with a maximum benefit of $2839 and a weekly benefit amount of $179. However, the amount paid so far is $0. I'm now employed, but I'm still struggling financially. I’m trying to understand what steps I need to take to actually receive this balance, if possible. I’ve read some comments suggesting that this amount isn’t really mine unless I go back on unemployment before the claim expires. I’m just looking for clarity on what I can do next.
