I recently faced a tough situation with my boyfriend's job at Target. He had applied for a transfer to a different city and moved there, but after relocating, he discovered that his transfer had been retroactively declined because he had missed some shifts at his original location. This was a shock to us, especially since he had no idea about the missed shifts before moving. As a result, he felt he had no choice but to resign from his position. He does have a screenshot of an email indicating that the new Target was interested in hiring him, and we're trying to track down his transfer paperwork, which might still be at either of the Target locations. Now, we're wondering if he can still qualify for unemployment benefits in California despite these complications.
