  1. 1

I recently made it to the final two candidates for a job that aligned perfectly with my education and experience. The application process was quite thorough, taking about three weeks, and included an initial screening call, a first interview, a personality test, and a second interview. However, I received a call from HR five days after my second interview informing me that I didn’t get the job. They mentioned that it was a tough decision between me and another candidate who had direct, hands-on experience in the specific role. Now, about eight weeks later, I noticed that the same position has been posted again. Interestingly, two of the three interviewers from my previous rounds are listed as contacts for this new posting, which leads me to believe it might be the same role. When I was rejected, I expressed my continued interest in any future openings, so I’m wondering if I should reach out to HR again. I’m torn between contacting them to see if I could potentially skip some steps in the recruitment process, given that I just went through it, or if I should just submit a new application with some updates. I really want this job, but I’m not keen on going through the entire process again if I don’t have to. Has anyone experienced something similar? What would be the best approach here?
