I’ve been actively searching for a new job this summer and have had several interviews that I felt went really well. I have a solid background in my industry, with positive reviews from past employers, and I genuinely enjoy the work I do. However, I’ve experienced a lot of ghosting after these interviews. Companies seem to express interest during the interview, praising my experience and saying they’ll get back to me, but then weeks go by without any communication. It’s incredibly frustrating. I understand that not every opportunity will lead to an offer, but I wish companies would at least send a rejection email to maintain a professional relationship for the future. I’m trying not to take it personally, but the lack of communication feels really unprofessional. It’s just a strange situation to be in.
