I was recently laid off from my corporate management position in the tech industry, where I was making a six-figure salary. It was a tough pill to swallow, but I had to accept any job available to me. Now, I find myself in a low-level data entry role, working remotely for $25 an hour. While I'm grateful to have a job, I can't help but feel that this role is crushing my spirit. It's similar to a call center job, but thankfully, I don't have to take calls—just endless data entry, and they track every little thing I do.
