I recently experienced the gut-wrenching feeling of being laid off for the second time in my career. The first time, it was due to a company restructuring, and the second time, I was let go after I chose to join the house union. It's a tough situation, and I know many others are going through similar challenges. To help those affected, I wrote a book focused on navigating the job market post-layoff. It emphasizes the evolving landscape of employment due to artificial intelligence and how many new jobs will emerge from technological advancements. I believe there are incredible opportunities in various trades, especially in healthcare, where you don't necessarily need a college degree. Many certifications can be obtained in a matter of months to a couple of years. It's crucial to remember that being laid off doesn't mean you're out of the job market; there are still paths to explore.
