It's been 10 days since I started my job search, and I've applied to over 400 positions without receiving a single response. I'm feeling pretty low right now. I have two internships in HR under my belt, but I only managed to get one interview a couple of days ago. The recruiter told me that my internships don't count as real experience, which was incredibly frustrating. I explained that I managed the recruitment cycle and worked full-time hours, but she insisted that since it was labeled as an internship, it didn't qualify as corporate experience. I was shocked when she asked about my salary expectations. I mentioned 25k, and she responded that it was too high. They didn't even offer me 18k, and I see job postings asking for extensive qualifications for such low pay. It feels like a joke. I had high hopes for my internships to kickstart my HR career, but it seems like companies don't take them seriously. I even tried applying for roles in content and social media, which also require internships, but the expectations are ridiculous. They want candidates to have skills like video editing and excellent writing, yet they offer only 8 to 10k monthly. It's disheartening when even laborers seem to earn better. I know that pursuing my own projects might be a better option, but for those of us who need quick cash, the current job market feels risky. I've changed my resume multiple times, but I’m unsure of what to do next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
