state public media company · receptionist

I just wrapped up my final round of interviews for my first "big girl job" at a state public media company where I previously interned. The waiting game is really getting to me; it's one of the most anxiety-inducing experiences I've ever faced. I graduated from college recently and had a great internship there, which led to a freelance position, but they didn’t have any full-time roles available at that time. When they posted a receptionist job paying $50k, I jumped at the chance and applied immediately. After a long wait, I made it through three rounds of interviews and a meet-and-greet with the staff, which felt a bit odd since I already knew everyone. They mentioned that over 225 people applied, and now it's down to me and one other finalist. I was told I would hear back early to mid-week, and now that it's Tuesday, I'm really on edge. This job would mean the world to me and significantly change my life. I’m trying to distract myself but it’s tough. I'm curious if anyone has advice on how to cope with this waiting period and whether I should expect a call or an email with the decision.
