  1. 1

I've been working as an activity specialist in disability services for a while now, but things have taken a turn for the worse since our new CEO came on board six months ago. The company is in chaos, with layoffs happening frequently and positions being cut or changed without notice. It's been really stressful, and I'm feeling the pressure to find a new job quickly. I've been trying to transition to a better role for the past year, but my education level seems to be a barrier. I don't have the qualifications for middle-level positions, and the only roles I can find are entry-level direct support positions. I'm currently pursuing my master's in nonprofit management, but that's a year away. I'm at a crossroads and wondering if I should start over in a different field or if there are opportunities in disability services for someone like me who is stuck in that middle ground with a bachelor's degree. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
