I recently had a performance review at my new job as a marketing associate, and it didn't go as I had hoped. I received only negative feedback, which was surprising to me, and my probation period was extended by another 30 days. They mentioned that I’m not meeting their expectations at this point. I genuinely feel like I’m putting in my best effort. I ask questions, seek guidance, and am trying to improve my skills. While some of the feedback I received made sense, other parts confused me, as I didn't realize those issues were considered significant problems. It feels like there’s a disconnect between what they expect and where I currently am. I’ve had doubts about whether this role is the right fit for me since I started, even before the review. Now, I'm at a crossroads. Should I give it more time to try and improve, or is this a sign that I should start looking for a new opportunity?
