I’m a final year computer science international student in the UK, and I’m feeling really anxious about graduating without a job. The current job market is tough, and I've applied to over 200 internships this summer but only landed one interview, which didn’t lead to an offer. I had multiple people review my CV, and they all said it looked good, so I’m confused about why I’m not getting more interview opportunities. I did manage to secure an internship back in my home country, but I would really prefer to find one in the UK to increase my chances of getting a return offer. It’s disheartening to see my local friends getting internships after applying to just a handful of positions. I’m terrified of having to go back home after graduation and move in with my parents, as I don’t want them to feel like they wasted their money sending me abroad. I just can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.
