I recently reported being bullied at my job, where I work as a team member. Last week, I was physically assaulted by a coworker, which was just the culmination of ongoing harassment I've been facing. I've experienced both verbal put-downs to my face and behind my back from a group of colleagues. I expressed my discomfort to management, hoping for some action, but their response was disappointing. They mentioned they would address the incident during my coworker's performance review, which felt inadequate. Today, I received an email inviting me to a staff meeting to discuss the ‘tension’ and ‘dust ups’ among us. They want everyone to air their grievances, but I don’t feel safe or comfortable doing that, especially with my harasser present. I really just wanted management to take this seriously and discipline the person who assaulted me. I’m seriously considering quitting, but I need to hold on to this job until I can find something else.
