I've been unemployed for a full month now, and I'm really struggling to land interviews. In that time, I've only managed to secure one interview, which is incredibly frustrating given my background. I have a bachelor's degree and spent 8.5 years at my last company, where I was promoted twice without any competition. Before that, I was at another company for 4.5 years. I've never faced such a tough job search before. I'm trying to figure out if LinkedIn is worth my time or if I should focus on networking and referrals instead. I've heard that reaching out to people directly on LinkedIn might be more effective, but I’m not sure how to go about it. Any advice on getting more interviews would be greatly appreciated.
