I just received a cold call from a recruiter who found my LinkedIn profile. They want to set up a Teams meeting to discuss some job openings in my area, and I agreed to it. However, they also requested that I provide two managerial references and two coworker references before the meeting. I find this a bit odd, as I believe references are typically requested later in the hiring process. While I could manage to get two coworker references, I don't have any managerial ones. I'm currently unemployed and unsure if I should ignore their request or inform them that I don't have the references they want. Some people think it's suspicious to ask for references before even having an interview, and I'm starting to feel the same way. Should I proceed with caution?

I'm currently looking for a weekend job and I'm unsure about whether to include my full-time position on my resume. I work as an engineer, but I'm applying for a part-time role as a sales associate at a clothing store. My concern is that listing my engineering job might make me seem overqualified, or that employers might think I don't really need the job since engineers typically earn good salaries.
