I recently had my second interview for a position, and it was in person. During the interview, one of the owners, the wife, unexpectedly interrupted by speaking in Dutch and then left the room. This caught me off guard, especially since I was already feeling nervous. The husband, who continued the interview, explained that they had lived in the Netherlands for ten years and asked if I had lived outside the country, to which I replied that I had. After that, he quickly shifted back to the interview questions. The whole situation made me uncomfortable, and I couldn't help but wonder if she had said something negative about me. Even though I tried to brush it off, I find myself overthinking it and worrying about how this might affect future communication if I were to join the company. I also noticed that they seemed to be running out of time, as they had another interview scheduled right after mine, yet the husband still had questions for me. Overall, I'm left feeling uneasy about the entire experience and questioning whether the wife's interruption was rude or if it was just a logistical matter. I would appreciate any thoughts or similar experiences from others.
