I’ve been at my new logistics job for only two months, and I'm seriously considering quitting. I’m 25 years old and have a background in a bilingual call center and a solid internship experience. I left my previous chat-based call center job, where I was doing well and earning bonuses, for this new opportunity, but it has turned out to be a nightmare. The hours are brutal—5:30 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Saturday, totaling around 47.5 hours a week, which is above the legal limit. Plus, the workplace is in a dangerous area, requiring me to take private transportation, which is draining my finances. From day one, the onboarding was a disaster. I was bombarded with all the negatives about the company and the poor treatment of employees. I felt trapped and thought, 'There’s no turning back now.' The working conditions are exhausting, and even the tap water is sometimes dirty. My mental health is suffering, and I keep telling myself to push through, but I’m not sure if I can. Everyone here seems to expect high turnover, and while some have been here for years, I don’t see a future for myself in this role. My schedule has also taken away time from the things I love. I’m at a crossroads—should I quit after just two months? I’m not sure what my next steps should be.
