I have submitted 53 job applications and received only 1 interview, which is incredibly disheartening. With 12 years of experience in my field and strong professional contacts, I thought I was well-positioned to find a new role. I tailored my resume for each application, and after the first ten submissions, I felt optimistic when I landed that single interview. However, it's been four weeks since that interview, and despite my polite follow-up, I was informed they are still considering other candidates. I know the job market is tough right now, but it's frustrating to feel like I'm hitting a wall despite my efforts. I see others around me struggling as well, and it seems like this has become the new normal.
