I’m an 18-year-old male in Canada, and I’ve never had a job before. I’m still in school and feeling stuck while my friends are all moving forward in their careers. I used to think I’d have my life figured out by now, maybe even owning a car and having a steady income. Instead, I find myself in a completely different situation, and it’s frustrating. Recently, a friend pointed out how absurd my current lifestyle is and encouraged me to get serious about finding work. I realize I need to make a change and stop complaining about my situation. I’m looking for advice on how to find a job with little to no experience, whether it’s part-time or full-time. I want to earn some money and gain respect from my peers and family.
