    I recently applied for an internal position at my current company while on summer break. During the interview process, I was faced with the question, "When can you start?" I have a pre-planned vacation for 14 days that begins a week after the interviews. I'm unsure about when to bring this up since I've read that it's best to mention such things only after receiving an offer. However, I want to be honest and avoid any surprises later. I’m considering mentioning my vacation if asked directly about my start date, saying I need to confirm my notice period and upcoming vacation. I’ve seen advice suggesting that companies are usually accommodating with start dates, often scheduling them after vacations. I’m leaning towards being upfront about my plans to maintain transparency.
