Yuzu-Adagio's journey

I have been unemployed for just over a year after spending 11 years in my previous role as a specialized technician at a manufacturing company. I am considering a shift to a completely different field and not pursuing the same type of work I did before. There were several reasons for my departure that I find challenging to articulate positively. First, the pay structure at my previous job changed for the worse, and HR did not uphold some verbal promises regarding compensation. I learned the hard way that it’s essential to get everything in writing. Additionally, I experienced increased tension with my supervisor, which began around my seventh year there. We had a great working relationship initially, but it deteriorated over time. I also faced an unexplained decline in my skills related to that specific role, although I still feel confident in my other abilities. At one point, I even attempted to emigrate, which added to the complexity of my situation. I also tried to start a freelance career, which I believe I can use to explain the gap on my resume. Moving forward, I am ready for new opportunities and challenges, and I am focusing on how to present my experiences in a positive light without dwelling on the negatives of my past employment.
