  1. 1

I’ve been working in IT and software development for the past 10 years, and honestly, I’ve never enjoyed it. I graduated with a computer science degree and just fell into this career path, but from day one, I felt miserable. Even with the challenges of tough projects or successful launches, I never found any fulfillment. The stress has been overwhelming, and it’s only gotten worse since I joined a new company this year. I’m earning more, but the work is just as draining and unfulfilling as before. Lately, I feel completely worn out. I used to manage by checking out mentally after my work hours, but now I dread waking up each morning knowing I have to face another day of tasks that make me feel physically ill. Weekends no longer offer me any relief, and I find myself feeling genuinely depressed and burned out when I log in. I’ve considered quitting, but I’m torn. The only thing keeping me here is the paycheck, and the thought of leaving that behind for an uncertain future is terrifying. If money weren’t an issue, I’d love to pursue something completely different, like being a librarian or a tailor. But right now, the financial stability is too important to let go.
