I recently resigned from my position as a Software Developer without having another offer in hand, primarily to prioritize my health and preserve my coding career. This decision came after a challenging period where I was forced to shift from coding to a non-tech project due to a client ramp-down at my company. The situation was compounded by unplanned night shifts that took a toll on my physical health. I made the tough call to resign on June 5, 2026, and now I find myself facing a 3-month gap in my career. The mental pressure of being unemployed has been overwhelming, and I’m seeking advice on how to navigate this period. I have 2.4 years of experience specializing in Python, Django, RAG (GenAI), AWS, and MySQL. Although I’ve been actively interviewing and successfully clearing the first technical rounds, I’m frustrated by the long delays in scheduling second rounds, which leave me feeling stuck. My last salary was 5 LPA, and I’m hoping for a modest increase to 6 LPA. I’m open to opportunities in Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Tamil Nadu, or Kerala, and I’m ready to dive back into work immediately. I would appreciate any insights on whether the delays in the hiring process are common right now and if anyone knows of openings for a Python developer with my skill set. Thank you for your support.
