I was recently laid off from my role as a Training Supervisor after just four months at the company. It all started with a meeting involving senior leadership, where we were informed that changes were coming. I had been optimistic about my position, especially since I had developed a good rapport with my new boss, who understood my background. I was working on a project that was ahead of schedule when I received the news that my experience didn’t align with the requirements of the role. Despite my confidence in my abilities and the support of a manager who was surprised I didn’t secure another position, I found myself without a job. In just ten hours, everything changed. I’ve decided to shake off the disappointment and have updated my resume to start the job hunt once again.
