Applied at Parsons for Unknown

I applied for a position at Parsons through their online portal some time ago. My application was under review for a while, but then I received unexpected communication from a contractor asking me to sign a RTR (Right to Represent) form. I got caught up with other commitments and haven't had the chance to respond to the RTR form yet. To my surprise, the very next day after receiving the RTR, I was officially rejected for the original job I applied for through their portal. I'm wondering if this is just a coincidence or if anyone else has experienced something similar. I'd appreciate any insights on this situation.
