Applied at ABC Inc. for Unknown

I took today off from my job at XYZ Corp for a final interview with ABC Inc. I had already passed the reference check and felt confident about my chances. However, I was informed that they received a last-minute application and that it would take another week or two to make a decision. It's frustrating because I would rather know if I didn't get the job instead of being left in limbo. I've faced rejections before, so I'm no stranger to this process. I just wish they would communicate more clearly.
